Protecting your source to the cloud

Protecting your source server to the cloud is a five step process.

  1. Provisioning a backup repository server—This process creates a backup repository server in the cloud. This is where you will be storing your protected data from your source. If you already have an existing backup repository server, you can add additional disks to it.
  2. Connecting to the backup repository server—This process configures remote desktop, allowing you to connect to the backup repository server in the cloud. You will be able to set the Windows administrator password on the backup repository server.
  3. Configuring the VPN—This process allows you to create a VPN to ensure your data is protected when being transmitted to the cloud.
  4. Installing Double-Take Backup on the source—This process will install Double-Take Backup on your source server.
  5. Configuring Double-Take Backup full-server protection—This process establishes protection from your source server to the backup repository server in the cloud.
