Editing server properties

Highlight a server on the Manage Servers page and click View Server Details from the toolbar. Under Tasks, select Edit server properties. The Edit Server Properties page allows you to view and edit properties for that server. Click on a heading on the Edit Server Properties page to expand or collapse a section of properties.

General server properties—These properties identify the server.
Server licensing—View, add, and remove your activation codes in this section.
Server setup properties—These properties indicate how the server will act on startup and shutdown.
Double-Take queue—Learn about and configure the Double-Take queues.
Source server properties—These properties are specific to the source server role.
Target server properties—These properties are specific to the target server role.
E-mail notification configuration—Set e-mail notification If you want to receive messages regarding a server.
Script credentials—These credentials will be used when executing custom scripts during mirroring or failover.
Log file properties—These settings allow you to specify your log file configuration.

If you are running earlier versions of Double-Take on your server (earlier than version 5.3), you may not be able to edit the properties for your server. In this case, see the Double-Take documentation distributed with your earlier version for instructions for editing the server properties.

Server properties cannot be edited on a cluster.

If you are editing server properties for a proxied source server or a Double-Take Virtual Recovery Appliance, you will only see the licensing properties section. See Adding servers for more details on proxied source servers.

If you are using a full server to ESX appliance job, the server properties that you apply to the source will automatically apply to the target because of the way the Double-Take replication engine works for this particular job type. Think of it as single server replication when you are configuring your server properties.
