Setting up iSCSI boot clients with a Flex daemon on an OpenSUSE server
This section describes how to set up an OpenSUSE 10.3 server to:
- Act as a PXE network boot server
- Use the Double-Take Flex daemon
for the purpose of providing client systems the ability to boot their operating system from storage located on iSCSI SAN.
The process includes:
- Setting up the network interface
- Setting up the Double-Take Flex service to provide the necessary iSCSI boot parameters
- Setting up a DHCP server to assign IP addresses and provide a bootstrap name
- Setting up a TFTP server for the Double-Take Flex iSCSI bootstrap to be loaded
Requirements
