Compressing data

  1. Make sure you have a valid source and target specified, click Configure protection from the main Full-Server Failover Manager page, and then select the Advanced tab.
  2. Compression allows you to reduce the amount of bandwidth needed to transmit data from the source to the target. The data is compressed before being transmitted and then is uncompressed before it is written on the target. Typically, compression is used in WAN environments, but not in LAN environments. If desired, enable compression and select the level of compression that you want to use.
  3. Click OK to save the settings.
