Description
|
Specifies the name of the SMTP mail server for e-mail notification

Syntax

EMAIL MAILSERVER <server_name | ip_address> [username][password]
|
Options
|
- server_name—Name of the SMTP mail server
- ip_address—IP address of the SMTP mail server
- username—User ID required for SMTP server authentication
- password—Password associated with the specified user name

Your SMTP server must support the LOGIN authentication to supply a username and password. If your server supports a different authentication method or does not support authentication, you may need to add the Double-Take Availability server as an authorized host for relaying e-mail messages. This option is not necessary if you are sending exclusively to e-mail addresses that the SMTP server is responsible for.
- You must have an active source specified for any e-mail command to work properly.
- Options that contain non-alphanumeric characters must be enclosed in quotation marks.
