Completing a host-transfer

This process allows you to manually deactivate a license through the Carbonite host-transfer web page. You will have to use this process if you cannot uninstall Carbonite Availability using the Carbonite Replication Console or the Windows uninstall applet. You can complete two host transfers without intervention. Additional, host transfer will require assistance from Carbonite.

1. From your Carbonite Replication Console, select License Inventory in the toolbar.
2. Click Export Licenses and save your license inventory to a file.
3. From a machine with Internet access, go to https://activate.doubletake.com and upload your exported license inventory file.

After your license has been deactivated, you can reuse it on another Carbonite Availability server.
