Completing a host-transfer

This process allows you to manually deactivate a license through the Vision Solutions host-transfer web page. You will have to use this process if you cannot uninstall Double-Take using the Double-Take Console or the Windows uninstall applet. You can complete two host transfers without intervention. Additional, host transfer will require assistance from Vision Solutions.

1. From your Double-Take Console, select Manage Licenses in the toolbar.
2. Click Export Licenses and save your license inventory to a file.
3. From a machine with Internet access, go to https://activate.doubletake.com/hosttransferfile.aspx and upload your exported license inventory file.

After your license has been deactivated, you can reuse it on another Double-Take server.
